Hi guys, Krissy here and I recently went to Great Wolf Lodge with all of my friends. The first ride I’m going to talk about is probably my favorite: the Wolf Tail. This ride is STRESSFUL, but SO MUCH FUN!! Don’t knock it ’til you try it because this is literally the best. I’m not even joking, this ride is so nerve-wracking, but it’s so fun!

I’m gonna start at the beginning. So the first thing you’re going to do, of course, is line up. It’s right by the orange tube family ride, River Canyon Run, and the teal tube family ride, Sequoia Splash. The line when I went was pretty short, because this ride goes by pretty fast, but also that day was pretty good, line-wise and stuff. When you first get in the ride, you have to cross your arms and your legs around the ankles. It’s not required, but I STRONGLY recommend pinching your nose with one of your arms. You freefall really fast, so all of the water will go up your nose and it’ll be painful, trust me. I also wouldn’t recommend going on this ride if you are claustrophobic, because the tube is kind of small.

The workers there will literally just drop you randomly. Everything goes by so fast, it’s wild. When they drop you, everything goes black. I tried to record it on my phone, but the ride is so fast, most of the video you can’t see anything. The ride twists and turns until you come out into a very long run, kicking up more water, splashing it onto you. You will most likely get jostled around a lot, which is honestly a little bit painful, but nothing too bad. The worst part of it all was probably the actual drop, because even while pinching your nose, you still inhale a lot of water, or at least I did. One thing I can tell you to do for sure is keep your arms firmly folded across your chest the whole time, especially when you’re dropping. One of my friends got scared when the floor dropped out from under her, and her arms went FLYING, like they hit the sides of the tube and she screamed so loud. She said it hurt a lot, and I think it’s kind of dangerous too, so make sure your arms and legs are crossed.

On the Great Wolf Lodge website, this is listed as an indoor ride, a high thrill ride, and there’s a minimum of forty-eight (48) inches. There’s a maximum of 300 pounds. I agree that it’s a high thrill ride FOR SURE. It’s included in the water park and it’s best for families and teens. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this for kids younger than around eight.

Overall, I think this ride is pretty good, and I would definitely go on it again if I ever go back to Great Wolf Lodge.
