Hi guys, what’s up! It’s Krissy! Today’s article is the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner, the partner of the Watermelon Dew Drops.

We have to start with the packaging, of course! The pink lid is so cute and it suits the toner so well! It is, of course, pink. The wavy container is so preppy and it fits the minimalist description box on the front. It’s $16 for 40 milliliters at Sephora and the Glow Recipe website. Compared to the Dew Drops, this product is so much cheaper. It’s $14 cheaper for the same amount of product.

I honestly prefer the scent of the Dew Drops over this one. This smells like a mixture of watermelon candy, a cactus, and a non-spicy jalapeno. Random combination, I know, but that’s just what I’m getting. My friend group is split in half about the scent of this one. In my opinion, it’s alright, but I definitely wouldn’t use this if it was a perfume or anything. This is a product that you need to test the smell of in the store. This scent goes away pretty fast, and it’s pretty faint, but I would still recommend taking this for a test run before purchasing, or at least, getting a mini.

This is really sticky, which could make it a good primer, although the purpose of this is skincare. You don’t need a lot of product, a bit of this about the size of a dime would be plenty to cover your whole face and honestly, probably your neck too. This also gives you a nice subtle glow, but it’s not as in-your-face glowy as the dew drops. This is very cool and soothing for my combination skin, but I feel like it has a weird, drying dry-down just like the dew drops.

This has 6.5k reviews with an average of 4 stars on the Sephora website. I would rate it maybe a 4.5 stars, with a few points taken off solely for the scent. It’s listed as hydrating, which I kind of agree with, but it’s also drying after a while. Under the ‘highlights,’ it also says salicylic acid. I don’t know what that is much, but I know it’s some type of skincare component. It’s good for pores, which I guess could be true, but I didn’t use this product long enough to be sure. It also has hyaluronic acid, and it’s good for uneven texture. I’m kind of on the younger side, so I don’t think I have that. This is also trending on social, which I’d agree with, I think. It can be used by all skin types, and this targets dullness, dryness, and pores. The formula is a lightweight liquid, which I agree with, but it’s almost slimy. Some top ingredients are watermelon juice, PHA, BHA, cactus water, and hyaluronic acid.

Over all, I think this is a pretty good product. The scent could be better, but the ingredients are good, and for the most part, the texture is good, except at the end it’s kind of not.
